Sealing filament rolls in a vacuum bag is a great way to protect them. The bag prevents dirt, dust and most importantly moisture from getting into them. Sealing filaments and keeping them dry is the best way to protect and preserve their properties. This is especially true for hygroscopic filaments such as Nylon (PA) and PVA.

Storing filaments in properly sealed and dry conditions can prolong their life and ensure that the quality of your prints is always at its best.

The storage kit is extremely easy to use. Insert the filament roll into the vacuum bag, add a silica gel bag and a humidity indicator, then seal the bag and use the pump to suck out the air. Hold the air valve with a flat surface to ensure a tight seal. The valve closes by itself, making it easier to use.

Make sure you position the humidity indicator so that you can keep an eye on it at all times. As long as the brown dots on the indicator remain, the filament is safe and dry. If the indicator starts to turn blue, moisture may have entered the bag and you should replace the filament with a new silica gel bag.

Vacuum bags can be resealed and recycled.
