MODIFI3D - Original solder

The MODIFI3D ORIGINAL soldering iron is a heatable tool with specially coated, interchangeable tips to facilitate the finishing, repair and modification of 3D printed parts. The MODIFI3D ORIGINAL is designed to replace much of the sanding, scraping and breaking when finishing 3D prints.

Thanks to its pen-like design, it's extremely comfortable and very easy to use when precision is important, and works with PLA, ABS and other 3D printing materials.

Knife Mountain:
For cutting and part removal, including the removal of supports, edges and pallets from 3D printed objects. Special coating to prevent plastic from sticking.

Needle Mountain:
Excellent for cleaning small holes and details, or for refining layers in hard-to-reach places. Special coating to prevent plastic from sticking.

Point Mountain:
A general purpose tip for creating larger internal features and holes. Can also be used for post punching. Special coating to prevent plastic from sticking.

Spoon Mountain:
Ideal for removing fibres and defects from holes or recesses. Can also be used for smoothing surfaces. Special coating to prevent plastic from sticking.

Instructions for use:

- Remove the protective cover (if present) and place the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL on the supplied holder.
- Connect the USB (USB 2.0 or 3.0 recommended).
- Touch the metal switch to start the heating. The red light indicates that it is on.
- In less than 15 seconds, the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL reaches a temperature of about 300ºC (572ºF) and is ready for use. To increase the temperature or to reach the maximum of 420-450ºC (788-842ºF), tap the metal switch continuously until the desired temperature is reached.
- If the MODIFI3D ORIGINAL is not used for 25 seconds, it will enter sleep mode (the light will go out and the tip will start to cool). To wake up, gently touch the switch and the heating process will resume.

Cleaning the MODIFI3D Original Mountains:
Over time, it may be necessary to clean the replaceable tips. It is recommended to use a damp sponge to remove any plastic or residue from the tips. This is most effective when the tips are still warm (but not so hot that they can cause burns). Be sure to unplug the USB connector and allow the tips to cool to a safe temperature.

Do not use abrasive cleaners as this can damage the special coating on the tips.
